Recovery is a key component of performance. Whether your body needs a tune up, or some serious TLC we are here for you.
Recovery sessions focus on improving circulation and oxygenation, decreasing inflammation and swelling, reducing lactic acid accumulation, decreasing areas of muscle tightness or spasms, and improving recovery time. We offer active, passive, and hybrid recovery sessions.
Light, non-taxing movements to promote circulation and active muscle healing. An active recovery session will include therapist guided gentle mobility movements to address sore and stiff areas without causing additional strain on muscles or joints.
Rest, relax, and recovery. We use all our therapeutic tools to reduce recovery time by promoting circulation and alleviating the body of muscle soreness.
The best of both worlds. Our therapists guide you through some active recovery movements that can be easily replicated at home for continued maintenance. Then, we incorporate some passive recovery services to leave your body feeling refreshed and renewed.
We have MANY tools to assist in recovery. Our therapists incorporate manual skills, joint mobilizations, instrument assisted tissue release work, scrapping, cupping, electrical stimulation, compression boots, ultrasound, theragun, paraffin, and many more modalities into recovery sessions.
Therapeutic Effects of Cupping Therapy
Reduce muscle tone and tension
Lift connective tissue
Facilitate with blood flow and healing
Electrical Stimulation (TENS)
E-stim is a great way to calm an overactive neurological system. If the body is experiencing discomfort or pain, using electrical stimulation to relieve pain allows for a productive recovery session.
Foam Rolling Session
The foam roller is a great tool to use before or after a workout or athletic event. During your foam rolling session, your therapist will teach you the proper technique for full body tissue release work.
Facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability without restricting the body's range of motion.
>Kinesio Tape alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by lifting the skin, increasing interstitial space, and allowing for a decrease in inflammation in the affected areas. Depending on the degree of stretch, tension, and direction the tape is applied K-Tape can:
- Re-educate the neuromuscular system
- Reduce pain and swelling
- Promote circulation
- Inhibit muscle spasms
- Assist in postural correction
- Facilitate inactive muscles
Proper taping methods extend the benefits of manual therapy patients receive in clinic.
