Doctor of Physical Therapy/Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists

Tessa Gutierrez, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, AIB-VRC, Dip. Osteopractic, Cert. SMT, Cert. DN

Dr. Tessa Gutierrez graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2008. At Texas Tech she was taught, trained, and guided by other Manual Physical Therapy Fellows who inspired her to someday become one herself.

She began her career working in a brain injury facility where she treated many athletes, and soldiers who were recovering from TBI.  She was passionate about their recovery, seeking out additional training in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion so that she could give optimum treatment to her patients.  In 2015 Tessa went on to receive her certification in Vestibular Rehab and Concussion from the American Institute of Balance.

Her love for vestibular rehab moved her to an outpatient clinic where she could implement her skills in an outpatient setting and use her passion for manual therapy and exercise to reach a more diverse patient population while still leading the field in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation.

After 10+ years of advanced-level training, Tessa continues to immerse herself in learning the latest techniques to help her patients.  She decided to pursue her dream of becoming a Fellow and was accepted to the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy fellowship where she became an Osteopractor in Dec. 2022.

In 2023, she joined the top 2% of Physical Therapists to finish the Fellowship Program, earning her title as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Tessa is excited to have recently moved to South Florida to become part of the Team at Symmetry PT.

When she is not working, she is hiking, traveling, and is intrigued with learning alternative healing methods as well as meditation practice.  She feels that through daily meditation practice and grounding, she will provide her patients with a safe and comfortable environment to thrive and heal.

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Jose Palomo, PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Mental, emotional and physical health are interconnected and Dr. Palomo teaches his patients to be more mindful on all these aspects of health.

Dr. Palomo helps provide his patients with more efficient movement patterns to be more functional in daily life and fix issues that are contributing to the patient's pain.

Community Outreach Coordinator

Amy Stratt

As a former patient, my life was truly changed by Natalia. I might be biased but I am their biggest fan because I came in walking with a cane, previously a wheelchair, and in need of major physical therapy after a horrific accident a few years ago. Fast forward and I walked down the aisle at my wedding and never left the dance floor thanks to everything Natalia taught me. I've seen firsthand while being a patient how many lives have been changed by Symmetry. It was a no-brainer for me to join the team because I know what is possible with the right care.

Amy coordinates educational workshops integrating Team Symmetry into Miami gyms and health clubs. She plays a pivotal role in helping to expand local’s knowledge of movement, pain reduction, physical therapy interventions, and injury prevention. She has coordinated repeat events with some well-known establishments such as Orange Theory, CrossFit, CKO Kickboxing, and Team FDC Run Club.
